TK40

The Takamine TK40 Preamplifier found on G-Series guitars features volume control, 3 band EQ (bass, middle and treble controls), EQ bypass, a Notch Filter, Tuner and a Mid Contour Switch. The preamp is switched on by plugging a standard 1/4" mono instrument cable into the endpin strap pin/jack.

The EQ bypass is useful if you want to control your sound at the desk, or through your effects, while the notch filter is useful for eliminating troublesome feedback frequencies. The mid contour control affects the 400Hz frequencies which are particularly useful for acoustic guitarists.
