The simplest Takamine preamp, the TLD Takamine Line Driver takes the passive signal from the pickup and makes it active, and avoids the need to cut a hole in the side of the guitar. Although there is no on-board adjustment of the signal, the TLD is pre-EQ’d with a mild bass and treble boost and a mild mid-range cut.
